These two chameleons have a lot of character. The one on the left frowns -- always looking for the best deal and always feeling cheated! The other on the right appears cheerful and sees the brighter side and makes the good deal. Who is making a fair deal? Mr. or Mrs. Dealmaker? To me these two represent my parents, my friends, even my own relationships, one dynamic between men and women. I find this painting a funny representative of how men and women are with each other. We don't really know who's getting the best deal in this painting, certainly I don't. I just like the idea that there is only one butterfly and two chameleons...what happens next? Which one is happy and why? Will they share the butterfly? What do you see? There are so many questions and that’s my favorite thing about this painting.
