Samantha Lockwood is an accomplished artist and actress. From childhood Samantha loved art and was encouraged to paint and draw by her parents and loved ones. Her family noticed her natural gift for creativity, perhaps associated with the fact that she's left handed, and enrolled her into her first art class outside of school at the age eight in Malibu, CA. She later moved to La Quinta, CA to live with her mother two stepbrothers, fellow artist Kyle Hay fellow actor Adam Hay and their mutual half sister Whitney Hay. Samantha attended the Palm Valley School where she enrolled in the three year Advanced Placement Art Program under the tutelage of Mr. Jack Flannigan. She excelled in the program which consisted of only herself and two other students, one being Jason DooLittle, son of artist Bev DooLittle. Everyday after school Samantha went back to the art room sometimes for hours to keep working. Her works draw from a love of nature, the ocean, and include lots of vibrant color. During the summer of '99' she went to Los Angeles to do the Bikram Yoga Teacher Training where she won a medal for Best in Posture for her training. The strong influence of yoga in her life has become a strong theme in her artwork as well. She uses the medium of art to inspire others.
